I'm getting ready to install the vortech, and my tuner told me i wouldn't really need the btm, he said that he can program that into my chip. I really trust him, and suposedly he helped design the procharger for the 94-95 mustangs. anyways, what is your guys' opinion on not running the BTM? thanks

I installed mine when I first had the blower in, took it out after I got a tune...no need really since its all programed into the chip. I guess you could argue that you could keep it installed for that added safety of puilling timing in hot weather or if you have bad gas...

I tune with a tweecer and don't really need it but I spent the extra $ so that when I go somewhere if I get bad gas, or its hot I can use it as a safety net. Tunes so far have been good so I haven't had to use it but it will be nice if I ever need to.

It was a nice assurance to know I could pull timing if I detonated. Sucks when you can't run b/c of detonation and your hands are tied! It's costly but worth it IMO.
You need the MSD anyway, so it's only a little more $$$ compared to a LOT if there are problems.
PLUS, it will allow you a "slightly" more aggressive stock tune, then you can pull timing in the heat/humidity, or bad gas.

OR...you can just the Meth inj Cooler :D

It's a good insurance policy. Like mentioned you will need the box anyway. The MSD6BTM is a combo box.

Plus you have the dial at your reach. See pic.
