I just put a MSD coil (blaster coil for TFI) on my 93 GT. What is up with that noise it makes i can hear it inside the car man its loud. Has any one else had this problem? Is there some thing i can do or is there another coil i can buy that is just as good and doesnt make that noise?

i know the noise your talking about. Its a buzzing almost constant chirping high pitch sound right? I'm not talking about radio interference; its a physical sound coming from the coil (or ignition box in my case) Its a result of fluctuating voltage and different metals expanding and contracting. When you reach higher RPM's, and it puts out more, its stops. Thats if you can hear anything else but your motor at higher rpm's:nice: MSD can fix it, if it gets really annoying, i'm used to it.

I had the same noise problem with an Accel Supercoil,so I returned it and bought a Moroso Pro Coil HO.
No noise with the Moroso coil and Moroso claims their coil outperforms all the others. It`s a direct bolt in.

I had the same exact problem when I put a MSD TFI coil on my car. I put two of them on it and they both did it. It was NOT RFI noise, it was an actual loud buzzing from the coil itself, so a filter won't help in this case. After looking at it one day (I think it was getting dark) I could actually see the coil sparking between the body and the metal outer part, which shouldn't happen. I replaced it with a MSD tower-style coil, and it's been fine ever since.

Sorry guy's, my crane stuff gives me EFI through the speakers in the car...

Edit, I might add that I grounded the coil bracket / coil body to a strut tower with an additional piece of wire.

It's real simple. Just need the coil mounting bracket so you can bolt it in place. Then cut the factory plug off, crimp on some terminals, and hook them up
