It wont really give you any more performance that you will feel, but it should make the car run more efficiently

The guys in MMFF tested a Digital 6 setup, an added 5horsepower, and better driving quality ( 300hp setup ). My MSD setup works fine, and I think the reason for all the negative talk around MSD is caused by a much bigger numbers of owners. Think about it, How many guys are running Crane setup compared to MSDs ?
Crane have good products , and If you install whatever you choose correctly, It works for years most of the time. Just Me.

little to none. i'd guess MAYBE 2-3 hp at best. it's not a hp mod at all.

A ignition box like the MSD (Multiple Spark Discharge) just fires the plug through more degrees of crank rotation. 120° i believe. All this really does is ensure good spark throughout the RPM range. This will help with start and idle quality/ease...and also give slightly better throttle response. Not a real HP adder...but good for efficiency and smoothness.

I have had a few bad MSD 6al boxes but the Digital series seems to be much more reliable.

Yup the digital MSD boxes are the only way to go. Apparently they have done a large offshore move of production and it seems as though the analog boxes are taking the hit!

Crane setups seem to be performing well for people.

If you can find an older MSD used and proven then go for it. But, yes, the offshore china crap is just that. crap!

Nascar went Crane. that should tell you something.

However, Nascar and NHRA always have their stuff custom made by said companies.
