MT Radials vs MT ET Streets

I was offered an almost new set of 275x50x15 radials for a good price. My question is, can these tires hook up as well as the my loaners (26x11.50x15) et streets. I managed to cut a 1.68 on the et st which I know can be improved but I don't want to have a hard time with hitting a 1.68 with the drags when I did it with the et streets on my 3rd EVER pass, which means that there's plenty of room for driver improvement to cut low 1.6s. FYI, I've got subframe connectors and tubular control arms.

Thanks

So a 272x50x15 is the same as a 26x11.5x15 right?

I dunno about the size thing but if the ET streets were not the "stiff" sidewall version you will prob. at least gain some top end stability.

2 buddies of mine run the ET DR one on an LS1 and another on a 80T/A with a built 400 and a 165 shot (ran mid 12's N/A, and from rolls outruns 12.1-12.2 cars with ease). Both DEAD hook on the street for the most part. I plan on either getting some ET DR or streets for the welds when the DR on them go bad and nittos or BFG DR on the TTII's. To me it woud be more of a what can I get WHEN I am ready to buy and if both are avail. what one is the better deal price wise...

Its always better to get a good price than beat on a set of "loaners"...at leat they are yours.

I switched from ET Streets to MT DR's because I could out 60' the Streets by 1.5 tenths. The best I ever got on the ET Streets was a 1.70, now with the drag radials, I get low 1.5 60's leaving off the rev limiter.

damn slvr, do you think that's attributed to the stiffer sidewall? I mean, I cut the 1.68 but I know it has more left in it and I'm thinking I can easily get a 1.62-1.64 but not sure which of the 2 would do the trick. You seem to have steered me against the et streets. Hopefully more people chime in on this.

Thanks
