I have had my flowpaths for about 8 months and I love the sound even before I got the Dr. Gas. Now it is just plain sick They were pretty loud for just mufflers though IMO. As far as horsepower is concerned the gains are minimal no matter what you go with.

Had the Borla cat back set up on my 02 Saleen. Overall I liked the sound and extra flow they provided. The 03 Saleen mustangs come with Magnaflows. The main reason is they are cheaper than the Borla set up. Everyone has a different opinion on sound quality. The Borla's make a little more rumble than most. I would rather spend my money on something that I'm gonna love the sound of as well as recieve some extra performance. Mufflers alone don't really give you a lot of seat of your pants extra power so they better sound good. I have had Flowmasters on a lot of mustangs in the past. The new ones are nice too. My buddy owns a muffler shop so I have heard them on a new 4.6 ( no other mods or headers) They still have a little of that drone at around 2,000-2300 rpm (freeway crusin) My Borlas do not.
Incedentally, I have Borlas on my 89 Saleen and my S351. Maybe I'm not a good judge of opinion after all. I have Borla on all of my stangs.

I've played with mufflers quite a bit on mine and tried many others over the years and to date my favorites are currently what I have. On my 'stang I've had the Delta 40s, Magnapacks and Super 40s and the Sportsmans are by far the best IMO. I'm now converted to Spin Tech and I used to be a die-hard Flowmaster fan, but not anymore.

The sickest combo, trust me, is the Dr.Gas O/R x-pipe mated with
flows. Plus the 4.6L breaths a heck of a lot better than stock. And of
course......your bonus: THE SOUND! Mark

I think i like my steeda exhaust best so far....I've had stock, 3 chamber flows, 3chamber flows w bassani ox , dynomax w ox , and finaly the steeda w/ bassani ox soon to be bbk lt's and bbk ox ....I cant wait to hear that....

Dont get me wrong, I loved my flows before i put the bassani x on... but after that, YUCK!!!..... I like my exhaust to sound clean, not all choppy and tingy, thats how the flows sounded...imo As for the dynomax they were cool but not loud enough for me...
Any way just my opinion.... i'll try to post a clip(in car)

I have side exhaust using super turbos. I really dig loud obnoxious exhaust (like I had on my '67 Nova) but for a daily driver I love the super turbos on the side. it's like stereo sound with the windows down, and they are silent at idle. It's a nice healthy v8 sound. But thats my opinion.

I love the sound on my magnaflows.... not too loud, not really a drone at highway speed, and not to obnoxious but still deep and sounds awesome at WOT. Can't wait to hear it with the Bassani off-road X i just ordered.... ill be headin to a parking garage soon for some stereo sound.. hehe

I've got the new flowmasters and like them a lot. The drone that people complain about is the sound that most people love and indentify with a mustang.
