Right now i have Pypes o/r x to magnaflow ( not magnapacks )catback.. The mufflers on the cat back, or just clamped in ( not welded )... I want to swop just the mufflers out for flowmaster 40's, Is this possible?.. also Will my car b louder with the 40's?.. And last, if theres 2.5 inch piping, what size would the mufflers have to be?...thanks

AWW man thats the best cat back setup there is magnaflow FTW. Yes the 40s will be louder but how many cars sound like magnaflows. I got 2.5 pipes off road X into magnaflow mufflers it sounds so freaking awsome sounds deep & mellow when normal driving but screams at WOT. My buddy has exactly what i do but with 40s and he never gets compliments on the exhaust cause i get the attention

Get T/b plenum instead

If you want your car to sound like ass, go ahead. My suggestion is to sell the Magnaflow catback and buy yourself a MAC or an American Thunder catback is you want to be loud.

why would he sell if cat back and buy an american thunder when the mufflers that come with the american thunder are 40's? why wouldnt he just buy 40's and put them in his cat back?

There is a vid in my sig of my bassani o/r x and magnaflow catback, honestly i think the magnaflows are louder than most ppl give them credit for. Just in the car they are relatively mellow which is a good thing imo. I was considering the same thing, but i get too many compliments on my car the way it is, and if i did change it would be to bassani or borla. Besides EVERYBODY has flowmasters
