mufflers vs. resonators

i'm considering changing the after-cat exhaust on my car from flowmaster delta flow 40's to the dynamax bullet resonators or a similar product to gain some more bark from my 5.0. has anyone tried a setup like this on their stang? if so, is it enough of a difference to warrant changing the current setup? car also has bbk shortys and bassani xpipe w/ cats.
