Why 1 5/8 into 3" and not 1 3/4? Also, I suggest using an off road H-pipe or mac prochamber along with any 40 series 2 chamber, or 1 chambers if you want to be obnoxiously loud. Mac will also give you the muscle car tone.

I had 1 3/4 into 2.5" offroad X to 2 chamber flows, it was loud as hell, but raspy with the X pipe. Sounded like an old school muscle car until I got on it. You will be heard for 2+ blocks with any of the listed setups.

you are able to get away with the 1 3/4 because you are using the 2.5 middle pipe and cat back so thats where you get your back preasure. i need the bck preasure in the motor so 1 5/8 will give me that preasure.

I am using dynomax race bullits on my ride. They sound great plenty loud, and inexpensive.

you dont need a 3", I agree with meric, because I've seen blown stangs with over 500+ hp and they have 2.5" exhaust and if they would go to 3" they would lose some of the bottom end. and for mufflers ORGINAL Flowmaster 40's, supers arent as mean and low sounding. I plan on getting flowmaster orginal 40s made on a custom cat back this winter.

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
