what do you guys think on saleen vortech intake? looks like a holley systmeax II intake.

this is on ebay and has a porting job done, should i get it?

those are on the engines in the pictures for some supercharger company. That is the first time i've ever seen one for sale.

Those are just Saleen intakes I believe... my friend has a '90 Saleen and has that on his

Yep, doesn't have anything to do with vortech, just saleen. Deffinetly something different though, if i had the cash, i'd pick it up.

I think when they came on the saleens they would have a plate that said "saleen / vortech" b/c it also had the vortech blower.

yeah i never seen a saleen intake on ebay, but do they perform as good as a holley intake? i just want to make sure it can fit under a stock hood with front strut brace.

it will fit under a stock hood. A brace should fit around any intake.

Here's a tip: next time you're interested in something on ebay, don't post it on stangnet. It just shot up since you started this post. If you are serious then you might as well use the buy it now before the reserve is met. Good luck.

its an ALRIGHT intake, more valuble do to the fact that it isnt available anymore, I ran one on my Saleen for awhile and it was just horrible in stock form, it was easily out performed by a Cobra I also ran. if it is ported correctly it will perform near the same level as a BOX STOCK Holley. I wouldnt pay alot for it honestly.

It's important to note, these came out years before the Holley intake, which uses similar design. These actually used a stock truck lower IIRC, which was the big limiting factor. It's been a while, but I still like them. They look especially nice when polished.

Polished Cobra = way nicer looking and prob cheaper, i got my polished upper n lower for 475!!!! non polished is like 380 lol but it was worth it
