Mustang FR500?

Hey guys,

I was on my way to work yesterday and came up on a black '05+ Mustang. From a distance, it looked like it had some performance mods on it with wider wheels, low profile performance tires, and a rear lip spoiler. The rear deck (between the tail lights) had a Saleen-esque panel without the round Mustang emblem, and a small red "FR500" tag on it. I thought that was a race only variation? There were no other markings or emblems on the car. Is this an actual model or someone's own idea?

Somebodies own and from your description very good looking idea! The FR series vehicles are off road only they don't even have interiors

You can buy a turn key FR500 from Ford Racing...for offroad racing use. What you saw was not it, but not saying it wasn't clever.

That's what I thought. It was a very well executed detail. I didn't get a long look at the whole car, because I was checking out the chick behind the wheel!!!, and because I was exitting the highway, but if I see it again, I'll try to get a picture.....of the car that is....hahaha

You can buy the decklid from the FRPP catalog. The part# for the Mustang GT Styling pack (flat black chin spoiler&the decklid w/ red fr500 emblem) is M-2784-M. I believe you can buy just the decklid but im at work and i didnt see it in the 09 PDF catalog. I really like the way it looks w/ with the red emblem. Ive been wanting it since i bought my car...just cant pull the trigger for some reason...
