MUSTANG GT 96-98 99-03 Ported Upper Intake

i bought one a few month ago it works great i didnt dyno it before and after but i did see a c&l before and after 10rwhp if i was you just buy the c&l intake
retail is only 190.00 so i would do that if i was going to do it again.

Buy an Accufab at about 150.00. It made like 8-9 rwhp on a comparo the best of all 3 tested. The ported stock was only 2-3 rwhp reported by an independent guy who dynoed it. If they are charging more than 50.00 bucks it's stupid. If you want cheap do it yourself. Buy Dremel at about 70.00 (a tool all car guys should have anyway and start rip'n and tearing. I did it for the cost of some sanding barrells and other sand paper maybe 10.00. I really could not tell much at all. I was pretty much stock at the time except the K&N. I read the MM& FF article too with illusions of 10 hp, Scammed!

The C&L(along with Accufab, Trick Flow, and Dragon) are designed to flow air better than the stock design. Porting the stock unit only shows minimal gains due to its restrictive design. So it's not as important to allow for more air volume(by hogging aluminium out of the stock piece), as it is to ensure a better flowpath into the engine.
