Look i have a 2002 mustang gt with weld in flows, diablo tunner, air intake. and seriously this cars is a peice of junk right now, i can hardly get the damn thing to move? It only has 37,000 miles on it, its an auto. but trust me it used to move, i mean it is sooooo bad that i cant even squel the damn tires off the line??? please help what do i need to do, i do have a warrenty for 75000 and i know if i take it down they are gonig to stay its fine.? or will they? plz help i dont respect this thing :(

sounds like you may be due for a tune up. have you changed your sparkplugs or fuel filter since you got the car? It could also be one of your o2 sensors. i remember when when one of my o2 sensors went bad if felt like I lost 50hp. you could also try cleaning your maf sensor with some electric contact cleaner and see if that helps any.

Well......adding more mods isn't really going to help his problem, when he is saying his current setup has felt like it lost power. have you had your 35K mile maintenance done? I would look into that, and then make sure everything else is tuned up. Have you been driving around with the same mods, or did you do something and then shortly after had issues? If you have been driving around with the mods and the same tune on your diablo for quite some time....it sounds like either you need a tune up, or 2 you to check your mass air, cats/02 sensors.

^Ditto about the mods. Think about it guys, he said ,"but trust me it used to move". Now what does that tell you? Means its acting like a dog now, but it used to run great. Do you have a check engine light? Use your diable for a diagnostic and see if anything is wrong. Otherwise I am thinking its has something to do with spark delivery (ie spark plug gap or COP problems). You didnt happen to wash your engine lately either right? It could be cats, but that is HIGHLY unlikely...like 2% chance of that happening, and if they did fail at 35K, it would be due to a 02 sensor going bad and causing the EEC to dump a TON of fuel or something....you would have got a CEL off of that. But you could also check the MAF like said.

I was having the same problem with my stang 2 months ago. I put a bottle of RISLONE and she now runs much better... that stuff works! I'm not the only one who's had awesome results with this stuff. Good Luck

What is Rislone? What does it do? Where do you put it? WHere do you get it?

Most often a severe loss of power is caused by a plugged fuel filter. Next is plugged cats. That's if it still running faily smooth just bogging badly, no missfires. Plugged cats won't always turn on the service engine soon light. If your cats are plugged the exhaust would be noticable quiter and might even hiss at the seams. The intake might sound louder at open throttle. check the fuel filter first though.

I use the Engine treatment that goes in the oil. Before I used this stuff, I had to use at least 89 to keep the car from pinging. I just picked this stuff up at walmart for $2.79. After using just a little bit of this stuff (less than half a bottle) and using 87, the car feels like it's using 93. The car feels strong I can feel it. In addition, my gas mileage has gone up. Dad had the best result with this product. He drove 350miles to Houston in half a tank of gas on his Dodge Caravan! Twice, I might add. I'll be driving home this weekend so I'll see what kind of mileage I get with a fresh oil change and Rislone. I know a lot of people will roll their eyes at me..but for me, this stuff is a well kept secret. I love it! Good Luck!

You got an extended warantee and you did those mods? They ever give you any crap about that? My dealer said they won't even look at my car till I take some of the mods off.

A dealership can't refuse to look at your car because you have some mods done to your car, especially the minimal that you have done. I would suggest going to another dealership. They can refuse fixing a part (under warranty)if they can prove the modification caused it, but they can't refuse to look at your car if it's having problems. If you threw a rod in your engine they couldn't say it's because you put an exhaust on.

Honestly, the best I could muster stock was a 14.6 with some wheel spin...Autos arent that quick off the line unless u throw some mods at it, namely a trqe cnvtr/410's or 430's and a shift kit of some sort. I bet ud be happy then...thats if everything else checks out okay.

yup yup

Yeah i think i am going to just have a huge tune up done! I thank you all very much for the info... and 98 v6 year right i have talked to my dealer i work with and they said unless they can prove that the part installed killed something else then they dont have to fix it but if they cant they need to! intake is fine with them, the programmer on the other hand, NO WAY. i just put the stock tune back on so its ok and they dont know, but yeah it isnt just of the line that its slow its all the way off till like 5 grand or so. I will jus take it in and say give me a tune up and if that doesnt work hell i have no idea. looks like i will be new car shoping?

i agree. check your fuel filter first.

do you notice any other stuff other than a loss of power. such as misfiring up hills?
