Mustang II Member's rides

lots of really nice looking cars in this thread, keep up with the pictures. Almost embarrassed to post a pic of the king this dirty, so found a bad one of the silver car to take the focus off

Here are some pics of my 2.3 liter Mustang II Ghia. I think this is a real "girly" car.

Her name is Carol, not mine :) . I called her Carol, because her last home was in south- Carolina. But she is in Europe, Hungary more than 11 years.

Regarding the licence plate: here in Hungary we have a procedure in which we can qualify/ certificate our car as a museum value (I hope you understand what I mean) - if the car goes through this process - it receives a special licence plate OT= Old Timer, and additional 4 characters for the number (how many in the row)

Very nice! My sister used to have one that was identical, except it was a 76. We pulled the 4 cylinder and installed a V8 before it was sold. You're lucky that you have the 8 inch rear, hers had the smaller 7-1/4" option.

:) . I called her Carol,

Really nice ride there Ircsi, welcome to stang net and hello Carol.
She's a pretty ghia, loving the white vinyl top/ red combo with the stock hubcaps. Very Clean!
Hows the weather in Hungary today? Whats the yellow stuff in the 'compressor housing?'
Kind of want to hear more of your story ( start a thread?).
:D:);):p:D:);):D:p

Hey, I'm new here. Used to be all over forums (RIP vBulletin) but I finally bit the bullet and made an account. I've got a 1974 MII, notch, 4cyl/4spd, basically no options. Yeah, it's that museum car you saw on CL for too much (gotta put 8k to get 4k on there, I swear...) Figured I'd throw up an ask on here, the center console is shot. I've seen two like it and one was also destroyed. Would any of you have a super short red console for sale?

Welcome to the group! :)

I don't have one, and I don't think I've even seen one before until this one in your car. The only ones that I've seen are the full length console or the plain E-brake cover. Is it original to that car or is there a chance it's from a Pinto or something? I mean if that's the case it could be a case of looking in all the wrong places or just looking for the wrong thing altogether.

I'm sure it's a II part, Pinto is a trapezoid with no little tray. I know it's a base interior part, even though mine has the Ghia interior option. Funny enough, the intact one I saw was an identical car but worse shape overall and an auto. Shoulda bought it just for the console lol.

I'm keeping my eyes open!

I'm new here. Here's my recent 1977 II with a 351w project.
First project car. I think I picked a good one.

this is my 75 M2 Mach 1 with a 2.8 V6 and 4 speed. i bought it in June - 22 with a blown head gasket and needed upper control arm bushings. i found the R side head had a gouge in the combustion chamber to the water jacket. the engine had been rebuilt in the past and whoever built it had damaged the head. I had it shaved and checked for leaks. installed new gaskets and re-built the carb. it actually ran well when i bought it. no miss fire. just very high idle and puffing out coolant. after replacing the head gasket and rebuilding the carb. it runs great. The car had been off the road since 2014. installed a new fuel pump / alternator / voltage regulator / new tires / shocks / bushings / upper ball joints. it's a work in progress.
