Hi everyone, MII.net has a link to MII factory recalls, however, you need to be sign up for the service. Does anyone know what the factory recall is that is listed under V8, "stall, sluggish performance"? I am curious as to any changes made after the factory settings. :(

Sluggish Performance Fix:

Step one: Remove the 139HP 302 V8 as per Ford service manual.

Step two: Instal 300 + horse power 302. (The higher the horsepower the better).

Step three: Pull the differential pumkin as per Ford service manual.

Step four: Disgard factory crown and pinnion and instal numerically higher gears.

If sluggish performance contiues, add one or all of the following:

1)Nitrous kit
2)Supercharger
3)Turbo charger(s)

Great comeback:lol:
Think any of the recalls would still be honored by Ford:rolleyes:

Good question, but most of all, I would LOVE to find out what that recall said was wrong as far as factory changes. I am aware of the firestone 721 tires that were originally installed on our cars, but i would love to know this one. :)

The Firestone 721s were 100% better than the Firestone 500s that came on a lot of the 74/75 Model. The radials were in their infancy back then and the Uniroyals and Firestone 500 had cords breaking all of the time. You could be following cars down the road and notice big bulges on the tire and/or the car moving around like the tire was the shape of a football.
