hey all, im new to the board and have many questions for you all as far as which mods first, and also which brands have the best quality and produce best HP, and yada, yada! anyway, i am a ford tech at the local ford dealer and we just got a 2001 Zinc yellow GT traded in with chrome bullit wheels. its a 1-owner and its flawless in abd out. only has 21K miles on it!! its a 5-speed, and its awesome. i am thinking very hard about it, but the lowest my dealer would go on it because of the rarity of yellow around here is $14000+ tax etc. i am just curious of im getting hosed for 14K or if its a hella deal and i should jump on it. i tend to buy and sell very soon after and i dont wanna lose my ass if i decide i want something else in 6 months! any thoughts on whether this is a bargain or not is appreciated.

second, if i do buy the car i want the following and need to know the best place to get them:

1-mach 1 grille setup-love it!
2-mach 1 lip......probably available to me at the dealership?
3-better and bigger brakes-possible to get bullit/mach 1 front brakes??
4-needs lowered at least an inch-whats the best handling/riding springs and where to get them for best price?
5-best quality/fitting short throw shifter?
6-best cold air intake?
7-best headers and exhaust......and ive heard flowmaster mufflers and love the sound!
8-intake manifold?? any way to get mach 1 or bullitt to fit? dont like plastic~!

sorry bout the long list, but i really want the car and want the mods as well, but i want to be a smart shopper. any help is greatly appreciated, thanks guys!!!

well, trading isnt exactly what i plan on doing. but know that i sometimes get bored easily with cars. i usually sell outright regardless of what the car is because no one will give you **** for trade-in anywhere. i was just wanting to make sure the deal i was getting was ok and that IF for some reason i did sell it-which would be before i started modding, would i be so upside down on it that i would have to pay it off to break even? just curious

i already tried for 13.5K and was told no. the car hasnt even hit the lot yet and theres quite a few people asking about it. i have to make up my mind by tomorrow for sure. i am not sure what to do yet. we'll see what happens i guess

paid 14.5 for the 2001 GT i bought a couple weeks ago. Personally i think it was a little too much but GTs were hard to find at local dealers and I was too lazy to do hunt up my own financing and try and buy one from an individual or I probably could have gotten a little better price.
