I did the same thing with my low oil sensor. I replaced the gasket with a ford piece from NPD thinking that was my leaking issue, but it was the sensor itself. Replaced with a drain plug, a big washer and the sensor gasket. I couldn't stomach buying a replacement sensor for the prices I found. I never let my oil get that low enough for the light to turn on.

If you’re looking I’ve got a 94/95 rail in near perfect condition, as well as a stock and accufab regulator.

I really dig the Edelbrocks as far as aftermarket go.

so is the 94/95 fuel rail a direct replacement? I did a search and found this... looks way different then the Foxbody one... but looks better to me... If that's a direct fit, I may get one myself..

Semi-direct replacement. The connections to the lines going to the tank are at slightly different angles. Some minor bends and it fits. You can also install a fuel guage at the rail since the schrader port is up there. The 94/95 rails supposedly flow better than the fox rails. Downside is the regulator is unique to 94/95 only

I was debating doing some custom lines down to the body lines, like such. Or i might use the stock metal lines as well. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

ah... well then I'm out... lol, I have a new Kirban regulator in the box waiting to go on when I put injectors and rails in...

It means i can't use my existing Kirban, but to be honest, it was only set to stock 39psi. I never really adjusted it. I figure if a stock regulator on the rail can do the same thing, i don't really need to adjust the pressure.

I generally ask people to just set the pressure and stop messing with it.. Ford tests all their injectors at 39.5 psi

That's the consensus i arrived at too, which is why i don't mind just leaving the stock 94/95 regulator.

I actually picked up a NOS fox regulator a while back to swap in place of the cruddy kirban. Now, i might ebay it....maybe

Having two schrader valves will be a benefit though. One for an analog gauge, and one for the MS3X to datalog.

New OEM heater tube showed up. Only $55 or so from Tasca Ford. Made rather recently. Surprised of all the parts for Ford to continue making, they chose to keep making this one.

I agree. The term “sleeper” is usually used for something that doesn’t look fast, but is....... this car looks like a simple black hatch, until you really start to look at the time, care, and money put into it, and then you say.... “damn” what a nice car! Nice job Mike!!

The 94-95 mustangs take the same fuel pressure regulator up to 1998. It's also the same for the explorer 5.0 and the ford lightning 94. The Kirban part number is 5018. It's a 2 screw FPR. Some aftermarket FPR are drilled for the 3 and 2 screw types. I had to use one for my car because I used explorer rails so the fuel lines could enter from the rear drivers side of the engine.....away from the turbo.

If anyone has a set of explorer rails I may be interested in another set....there are two types. Mine are the earlier ones.

Hey Mustang5l5, I decided to pull the trigger and bought a 94/95 rails as well... price seemed good... I like the way these look over stock ones and looks way easier to clean/polish up then the the stock fox ones..since the stock ones have tubes over lapping ect.. can't really get in there to chrome polish any rust spots. - http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5335821607&icep_item=223788184568

I'll just buy a stock regulator and guess sell my new Kirban one for the fox rails...

Yeah, I was bummed too about not being able to use my Kirban, but like i said...in 20 years on the car I've yet to ever adjust to anything by stock OEM 39psi on the rail.

Mine is in the mail. Hopefully very minor cleanup and then i'll install.

When I search for parts through eBay, or rockauto, or other sources, sometimes the vendors do list the OEM part number. Rockauto is great at this for sensors and such.

Then, i google that part number and see what pops up.

In this case, LMR had the OEM part number listed. SO i hoped on Tasca (usually the cheapest prices around and local to me so shipping is cheap) and see what they have. In this case, they had one.

I was looking at both Kirban models on-line... since the base unbolts from the top to replace the diaphragm, it looks like, if you can just get the 2 bolt base of the 5018 model you could just bolt it to the upper body... I sent a e-mail to the company to confirm that and if there was a way to buy/order that bottom/base part from them...
