Does anyone have the dim. on the factory rack set up for the mustangii's I work in a full fab shop and want to make on as opposed to buy one..... I really only need the framework for this as I will be fabbing it to accept factory parts. This is in case I need to change something out in the future or sell the car to make things less cumbersome. I can also make it more h-d. TIA

what dimensions do you need? not sure if my kit came with the II rack or a foxbody rack though...they are very similar...is this for use in a 1st gen chasis? if so most aftermarket companies start with a cavalier rack since both the II and the foxbody racks are front steer...or setup for front steer anyway
Well...it's a 67 so first gen. what I am trying to do is lose my towers and go to a stand alone unit. got to be rack and pinion manual set up. this is new water for me I've done lowriders by the hundreds but this is my baby I don't want to do a lot of welding or plasma on the car. It is however going to have a tilt front with 8in roll out but all this is bolting into factory holes or lug brackets mounted to factory holes. You mentioned cavalier are you talking chevy?!?! what year if so?
there is a lot I would love to do if I had a day in a supply house with my measuring tools!!! If you could give me the dims of the sub assembly lengths/heights angles (protractor angles) hole placements, notches etc... That would be great!!! If you have anything you need made shoot it to me I welcome challenge. made a killer grille complete with giant truck oval ...deer ate it tho.

cutting out the shock towers will of course require a decent amount of welding...as for the cavalier rack that is pretty much only used with R&P kits that keep the shock towers...I'll go take some measurements later tonight...as for angles, I need a couple tools to find those(tools I'll need to pick up anyway for pinion angles) I remember I had to trim the shock "caps" to make them fit, but regardless I'll take all the measurements I can later on tonight
I found a crossmember kit with spring tops u fab u weld I am going to order one and measure everything before I make the weld jigs. I will write a prog. for the laser good thing to keep on hand. all the flats in kit for 45$
