I LOVE!!!!!!!! my V6... I'm 18 years old and ever since this car came out, I wanted one desperately! I only looked at the V6 models because I know the V8 would be too much of a car for me. I knew that I would "enjoy" the 300 horses way too much at times and I knew this would lead me into a lot of tickets. Also, another contributing factor to this V6 decision is that I am paying for everything on this car: Car payment, insurance, gas, and property taxes. It can be very stressful at times coming up with all that money and I can't imagine how bad it would be if I went the 8 cylinder route instead of the "weak" 6. Actually, on to that topic of the V6 power. I was blown away at the amount of power this car actually has. My previous car, a 1994 V6 Mustang is soooooooo slow compared to my new car. So whenever I hop into the new Stang it feels like I go from a Pinto to a Ferrari.

In conclusion, yes I wouldn't mind owning a beastly V8 but I drive my V6 with a pride and passion. I know when I originally bought this car I got a lot of trash from people saying 'y did u get the V6?! That's SLOW!" then I would take them for a little ride and make all of them shut up. Many could not believe the amount of power the V6 made.

What can I say? I HAVE V6 PRIDE!

Man for 18 years old you really have it together!

I think the v6 is a really smart choice myself under many circumstances, I may buy one myself for a daily driver

Either way you can't go wrong, it's a great car. I wanted the GT, affording it wasn't the problem....the problem was the insurance combined with 2 kids. LOL. But both are great cars. But the MPG on our cars, V6 or V8 is fine....it's a perception issue and I hope it dosent continue to hurt sales.

That is a nice story. I'm in the same boat as you! Just dont be like the pricks out there with new Stangs that just tear 'em up and break 'em. Be a good driver, don't screw it up, and show them what a responsible 18 year old driver with a mustang is. We'll lead by example lol. But I'm sure its different cause you're also taking the responsibility of paying for it all.

The ONLY mustangs that come in for service are the ones that are trashed or have a mods done to them. (Not to mention the ones that USED TO come in with the gas tank issue and what not.) I don't get the pleasure of driving a working 05 or 06 Stang unless its for an oil change or a test drive. . But I guess thats a good thing too. People wouldn't be happy with mustangs that break a lot. Then they REALLY wouldn't be selling.

I'd love to see Jenn in a commerical. I'd settle for a photo of her with her Mustang.

Funny thing. The 260hp F150 I just bought has double the hp of the truck it replaced. It seems like I still drive the same no matter what the vehicle is. Im happy with my puny 200hp V6. Im happy with my 260hp F150. I guess if I really want to go fast I will return to my first love, motorcycles, and dust all of you for 25% of the cost. At least on a nice day.
