I would really like to see a timeslip on a LT1 with those mods running 12.8 I don't see it happening. And it isn't beacuse it's a 93.
With those mods it isn't even par with a LS1.
I'll try to find it but I doubt I will. It was almost 3 years ago. However, I should (hopefully) be able to come up with one of the MANY 12.9 slips I had. I'll search around my dad's place today since I just happen to be home in Orlando for Thanksgiving

. I know I can't prove it without the slip but I'll try to do it with mod history and reasoning. I don't blame you for being skeptical.
Stock: 13.9 (don't remember mph) with 90k miles!
K&N CAI, gutted cat + cutout, Nitto Drag Radials, minor cooling mods (manually wired fans, throttle body coolant bypass, bag 'o' ice on intake) =
13.5
Above + MAC y-pipe, Flowmaster AT Cat-back (w/ cutout), MSD 6A, 8mm spark plug wires, Electric water pump, adjusted fuel pressure + new fuel injectors (stock size) =
13.2
Above + 3200-3400 stall TC along with a fully race built 4L60 tranny =
12.8 on a cool dry night. Keep in mind this is my best 2 runs EVER and in perfect weather conditions on a well prepped track, which makes more difference than most people take into consideration. Plus, I had a TON of practice racing that car since I was at OSW 1-2 nights a week for almost a solid year. Most people don't realize how big of a difference a shift kit and high stall torque converter can make on an f-body. With 3200+ stalls people commonly see a drop of .4 to .5 sec in the 1/4 mile. Talk to an experienced f-body guy and this should add up. In the meantime, I'll try to find a timeslip. And if I do find one I can even prove it's mine since I can also post a pic of the Z with my numbers on it

.
Thanks for the welcome guys. I can't wait to get the Cobra into the 12's as well
