My car broke down about 1 month ago (the fuel rail was loose and the injectors poped out)

I fixed it and the car ran good.

Past few weeks the ideling problem became worse till the point where the check engien light came back on.

Early this week the car was ideling at 1500RPMs then down to 1100RPMs, then back to 600RPMs but is really ruff and sound like i have a huge cam in it but i dont.

Now the cars FP is at 35-38 at idel and 40 where i set it without vaccume.

For some reason its not getting enough vaccum anymore.

dont mind spelling mistakes.

Check the vacuum lines and the seals around the intake components. Check that the CAI components are sealed together, parts are vacuum tight on the throttle body, and the gasket around the intake manifolds are good. Could be any number of places but the easiest ways I've found to find a vacuum leak is to spray a little carb cleaner around various suspects and see if air makes the area spread bubble up and sputter much like checking for leaks on a tire by getting it wet. Anyone else?

that's exactly what i was going to recommend. my buddies 92 also sounded like it had a monster cam but it was just his vacuum lines that were playing with his mind
