My car got F'ED up

If that bolt is so tight that it breaks the EZ out, you aren't turning it with vice grips. The threads on the EZ out are backwards, so now lefty=tighty, and righty = loosie, that is the opposite of normal threaded bolts, so when your going lefty tighty with the extractor, it is diggin into the stuck bolt, and your stuck bolt is going the normal lefty loosie.

lol thats the simplest way I can explain it.

This is what it looks like.

Drill the right size hole then put the extractor in the hole and unscrew the bolt. The extractor will dig in the bolt and as you un screw the extractor the bolt will come with it. It always sound easier then it actually is but it's not that hard to do.

If you have AAA, I wouldn't even waste my money or time with a screw extractor set, inwhich you'll probably never use again, or they will break, and just tow it up to a local machine shop. For 50 bucks, they'll drill, tap, and helicoil that.

if you need to go the welding route, dont just weld the handle right to the broken bolt.
get 3/8th pipe and plug weld the base of it to the bolt, then get your handle and push it into the top of the pipe (said pipe is like 1/2" long), and run a bead around the top. I wouldnt waste time welding right to the bolt.
Dont take any offense, but that's the sort of think I would leave to a pro.

found out the threads in the heads are stripped, thats why the bolts came out. No car for a while, im gonna get the march kit that hooks up to the water pump

Im not sure how they stripped but I went to put the new bbolts in and once they got to the point where they are all the way tight it would just loosen up again, and i could push the bolt half way in, i got the right size bolts also.

go a size bigger, or put alot of lock tight on the ones you have~!.. "clear nailpolish" would also work... but if you can slide them half way in, id go a sice bigger and torque them bit ches in there real good!

thanks :) I didn't think this would work but I tried it and it works, that bracket inst moving for ****, time to put on the belt and start her up, hope she still works right, after driving 3 miles with no water pump!
