I stripped the interior out of my car today to get it ready for fixin the floor pan and the new carpet. In the process im fixing some small things that Ive been meaning to do for a while.


This part didnt seem to be hooked up to anything. I tried the radio (aftermarket) and it worked fine, the car started fine with out it. Is it junk that i can get rid of or do i need the bracket for something?

i believe thats the factory amp, you dont need that. but the black bracket supports the back end of the radio so you need that.

thats what i was thinking but i didnt want to have to fight that thing back in if i didnt have to.
it will be a week or two before i can get the pan fixed. hopefully i can remember where every thing goes!
Is that much rot in the pan normal for these cars? should i hit that with some por15 before i put the new carpet in?

Some POR15 might be wise, especially since you have a vert.

It is the factory amp that came with Fords "Premium Sound" package.
