Wow!!!! this guy is unbelieveable, for his age he is very spry and witty, it was great to spend some time with him on our own,we talked with him and his significant other for awhile. he signed my 2 diecast cars,3 hats and a picture of himself i've had hanging in my basement, the pix was the best, it said "thank's Mike your friend Carroll Shelby". which i thought was great as most all the time he just signs his name,I later found out maybe why he did this. His lady friend liked the mini sharpie i had that was able to be hung around your neck, of course i gave it to her thinking as i did, how retarded that must be. But to my amazement she and Carroll thought it was the greatest thing in the world. it was really great to meet another living legend and be recieved like a old long time friend. What a week i've had!!!!!!:thumbsup

Jeez man, you're just going around meeting all the Mustang legends, aren't you? When's your date with Steve Saleen?

Congratulations on both experiences. Good memories and an opportunity not many of us get.

Must be nice to be the small % of people to meet and great the legends.
I read where Steve Saleen is stepping down from the day to day operations at Saleen.

Saw Saleen in Detroit for Ford's 100th. I asked if I could get a photo of him with my daughter. A guy with him said let me get it and both of you get in the photo. Saleen was really nice and great to talk with. I also met Shelby earlier. He was very busy, signed an autograph but had no time to chat. These photos and signatures are cherised possessions and the memories are wonderful. Mustang people are the greatest.
