for someone to say they are on such a tight budget, then turn around and run a 100 shot...i dont know just sounds retarded to me. Maybe you have a puddling problem and blow an intake, or maybe you run a little lean for some freak reason. Dont worry, those short blocks and intakes are cheap, im sure they fit right into your bidget.

don't worry, i'm not worried. i'm running a window switch from 3400 to 5700 so intake velocity should be plenty high to prevent puddling and i can't ping the rev limiter while on nitrous. not to mention my wot switch and fuel pressure safety switch. it's pretty much jackie chan proof.

Well you seem pretty offended by people having TECHnical opinions on your car and the times you ran. If you just want to show your times and not have anyone try and give advice then yes, talk would seem a bit more appropriate. For instance, if you said, "These are my times, what can I do to get them better?", then Tech would be a great place. But if you are saying, "Hey, look at my times! They kind of suck, but please don't give me any ideas on how to improve as I'll start insulting you and act like an @$$.", then Talk would be better.

they didn't give advice on how to improve, how's this for advice "dump the nitrous and get pi heads"? sorry but that's not advice. advice is like, "damn what happened before 60'?" not "your car sucks, get something else that I would like" do you see my point?

I see your point, but I think you got pretty defensive pretty quick. I think they were mainly concerned about the longevity of your car. PI heads are alot less risky than nitrous. It sounds like you've safeguarded against something going wrong, but not everyone does. Like stated previously, intakes and blocks aren't cheap.

. and way to go on the subjective comment that your car is better looking, which if you ask me isn't true the 96-98 body style is much sleeker, but only in black which tones down the lines on the car,

NOt true. The 96-98 is actually quite the ugly car :rlaugh:

Yes, it's the best advice anyone can give you. We've been here for years and know what works and what doesn't.

New advice... drive the turd off a cliff. :notnice:

nice job, you've managed to completely show your insecurity, sorry man, but we all love mustangs on this board, but don't ever think you're the **** if you only drive an 01 gt. there's plenty of nicer cars out there, so if you are so insecure with yourself that you feel you have to downgrade others' cars, i feel sorry for you man.

It's obvious the heads are holding you back.

Are you new to the 4.6? I hate to tell you that it has been proven many times that the reason that the '99+'s are stronger out of the box is because of the fact they have a better set of cams and intake. The heads only gain a total of about 5 rwhp over what just a set of PI cams and PI intake would give you on non-pi heads. If he was to put a PI intake and PI cams in the car he would be able to get to the 112-113 mph on a 100 shot with out ever pulling the heads.

As far as styling I hate to bust your bubble but everyone has their own opinions on which bodystyle they like better. Personally I prefer the '96-'98 body style over any other.

i tend to think the stock to stock difference of the heads is a bit more than that, now ported is a different story. Both ported flow very similar..

Other than the fact 98 Stallion did get a little defensive quick, I wouldnt be throwing insults around calling other Stangs Turds, explaining how ugly the 96-98 car is etc....

To try to offer a little helpful advice I would suggest on your next visit to the track you...

1. lower air pressure in street tires to 17 psi and dont get near the water.
2. remove any weight thats in the car like jack, spare tire, windshield washer fluid (that weighs 8.34 lbs when full)
3. dont dump the clutch, just take off like your takin off from a red light and as soon as you get rolling (about 3ft off the line then punch it)
4. visit the track on a very cool evening with low humidity.
5. Ultimately go with drag radials or stickies and get the control arms if you dont already have them.

I also dont understand why people are talking heads and achieving more power when he is struggling with 60' times now. His times would disentegrate even more so with extra power and no way to control it.
Nitrous is more forgiving because you can hit it at mid track if you want and dont have to worry about spinning off the line.

Later man,
Mike

I just saw you have Nitto 555 tires. Are those the Drag radials?
I cant remember , but if you do have the radials then scratch what I said about the street tires.

:)

thanks for the advice man. i wish they were the drag radials unfortunately on coming here to oregon i went with the street tires thinking with the supposed mass amount of rain here it would be the way to go. ultimately i think i would've been way better off going with those but hey, next time i go to buy tires i'll be all over em'.
:D and yeah how about that left lane at woodburn? anyone know what I'm talking about when I say there's absolutely no way to drive around the waterbox? what kind of crazy design was that!?

I PREFER the look of the 96-98. Why? Because it's mine. I love the look of all mustangs for different reasons. Stating an opinion as fact makes you a douchebag. Don't be a douchebag

P.S. I didn't know they sold 97 GT's in brown?? :owned:
