I just wanted to let you guys know my thoughts on the exhaust systems I've tried out within the past few weeks...
Initially I started out with BBK Longtubes, O/R H-pipe and Flowmaster 40's. This setup sounded absolutely amazing, but the flowmasters just rattled too much no matter how many times I tightened it down.
I switched to a Bassani S/S cat-back and the quality of the kit was absolutely outstanding. The fitment was perfect and I was very pleased with the kit as a whole. When I started up the car however, I was a little disappointed. It just wasn't as loud as the Flowmasters, but it did have a sound like I've never heard before on a 5.0 above 2500rpm (great). Despite the unique sound, it was just too quiet.
I finally switched to the SLP Loudmouth II system (I've heard the originals are just simply too loud). The quality and fitment were right up there with the Bassani, but the price was significantly less. The sound is unreal...Idle and normal driving were similar to the Flowmaster, but WOT is out of control loud. Truly an 8-Cylinder symphony.
This all happened within the past 2 weeks, so my ears have had a fresh comparison of the different systems. Hopefully that will help people out a little more when they are struggling to pick a system.
On a side note, I dealt with Ninosport and they were outstanding. Customer service was top notch and they were also willing to take back the Bassani. Deal with them if you can as they have excellent prices as well.
Take care guys.
