My Explorer intake lower . . .

. . . says "Made in China." Is this right? or did I get ripped off?

I'm not sure what baffle you're talking about, this is this first explorer intake that I've seen up close, didn't know there was a chinese version of the gt40 . . . is this a good or bad thing? Gt40's are slightly better than explorer intakes, right? Also, the flanges on the upper where the bolts go through don't match up perfectly with the lower . . .

The GT40/Cobra/Explorer lowers are all the same, its the uppers that make the difference. The Chinese Cobra intakes have quality issues and oil consumption problems from what I heard.

The Explorer intake has one large baffle like the one laying off to the side in the pic.

Looks like someone is going to get bad feedback for incorrectly advertising their itake on ebay . . . that bastard

Does anyone know if their explorer intake says made in China on it? The seller is acting like ALL GT40/explorer intakes are made in china . . . anyone know a credible source that proves otherwise?

Explorer intakes are NOT MADE IN CHINA. The GT40/Cobra (American made) and Explorer all share the same lower intake. The Chinese Cobra (the one you have) is the questionable intake.

a real explorer lower will have a ford part number on it, and is most certainly not made in china

Yea definitly sounds like its a china cobra copy. Explorer intakes ARE NOT made in china.
