Just got home with my new baby. 95 GT w/only 80K and in good shape. Bought it right and it's a carb swap with the following mods.

Trick flow twisted wedge heads with full roller rocker
Cam .524 int .548 exh lift and 1.7 roller rockers
Bottom end engine griddle with 7-quart oil pan
MSD distributor with MSD 6AL ignition box
Edelbrock torquer II intake with matching 600 CFM Edelbrock carb
MAC shorty equal length headers
MAC underdrive pulleys
A/C and smog pump elimination brackets
Kevlar clutch with less than 500 miles on it and new steel flywheel
BM shifter
Full MAC exhaust with X pipes with out cats
Sub frame connectors
Tubular K frame with coil over
373 gears and aluminum rear end cover
Tubular rear control arms

You have probably already figured out the problem. It was set up for the strip so idle is rough, the single palne manifold has no vaccuum and there's no low or mid-range torque to speak of. When she hits 3500 RPM though it comes on a ton.

But, I want a daily driver sooooo, I hoping to swap the torker II for a Weiand stealth and swap the rockers instead of changing the cam.

My question is will I get good idle and torque with the 1.6's or should I drop to 1.5"s. The cam specs (.524 int .548 exh lift ) are with 1.6 rockers. Any help appreciated and I'm super stoked about my first stang.

Need more info on the cam. What is the lobe center and duration of the cam? The actual name and part number of the cam would help. Edelbrock air gap intake might work better. Really any dual plane intake will help the low to mid power range. If you truely want it more streetable swap back to EFI and a TFS street intake.

Watch out for hood clearance. Most dual plane intakes are taller than the single plan ones.

I'm hoping to get the rest of the cam details anytime. Thought about an EFI swap but I didn't get any of the EFI parts with the car so I'd either have to buy it all new (not cheap) or spend some weekends pulling in the salvage yard. Plus I'll be honest I know a lot more about tuning a carb than tuning EFI!!!

Finally found the cam info. It's a TrickFlow stage 1. So the cam numbers are lift w/ the 1.7 rockers. So, I'll swap the manifold and probably switch to 1.6 rockers. I'm tempted to see how she'll run with the new manifold and leave the rockers as is. Still having trouble deciding on the Weiand or Edelbrock intake. Any other thoughts??
