My head unit got water on it...is it toast?

actually my dad did it in his truck. 02' F250 he had to brake hard and water in the cup holder got all over the head unit. now it doesnt power up. its a clarion somethin. i pulled it, when i tried to look at one of the inline fuses it fell apart on me. i dont think i broke it, so could it have been a blown fuse and just come apart. im gonna buy a new one tomorrow, that'd be nice if it fixed it. is it toast though, because the water???

Hmmm, hard to say, if the fuse is okay, then maybe the head unit is toast. You could try taking it to an audio shop where they install/repair them and have them take a look. If its a really nice head unit, it may be worth it to repair it, but if not it may cost more than you want to spend on the repair.
