after my buddys hood flew up and basically killed his car. i got me some of these.

ill have some pics of the intall and such when i get around to it.

i like those... But i seen a sweet set at a car show last night ... Looked like to Chrome hocky pucks, that you push in and twist then the Hood pops up... if i ever did anything like that i would go for those... But yours are Nice!

nice! when i hopefully paint my car someday and put my cowl hood back on i will grab some hood pins i always liked the look

I have a set of locking ones laying around somewhere. I don't want hood pins on my car, but it would kinda make sense considering you can open the hood from the outside of these cars in about 2 seconds and take whatever you want under the hood.

I have 4 of those on my car right now but I also have the locking type I will be installing before the summer is up.

if there the ones im thinking of your not supposed to use those by themselves to hold the hood down.

but yea, anyone can walk up to my car and pop the latch in literally 2 seconds. i do it all the time, infact i cant remember the last time i actually pulled the hood release in the car.

I hear ya. About a month ago i left the house one night and got up to about 70mph and the damn hood flew open. Did hurt the hood ( 2 1/2in cervins ram air) not much left of the cowl tho.Hood pin are the very next thing im doing to it.

The guys with the hoods flying up have fiberglass hoods. A steel hood does not need hood pins if you latch the hood down all the way.

my glass hood let go one day out of nowhere...yup safety latch did it's job, but I now would not want to test it again. Safety latch saved my ass..but I don't want to test my luck again.

my buddys was a steel hood. latched all the way. flew up and shattered his sunroof sending shards of glass down on his/passengers faces. they had lots-o-cuts. that and his roof/cowel are screwed.

That is mis-information for the simple fact that millions of other mustangs including mine seem to do just fine with steel hoods, and no pins for 20+ years. If it was a problem ford would have installed them from the factory.
