Driving my STANG
OK,
I installed my ubnderdrive pulleys about 2 weeks ago. I took my stang out for a nice ride (90 miles) round trip. My low coolant light came on in the dash right before I got home. So I put it in my garage, waited to cool off and checked my coolant, and the resivor and the radiator was good. My temp was good the whole ride too. Is there a reason why I am getting that light on?
Thanks alot.

Probably not related to the pulleys. Try cleaning the metal contacts that are on the end of the sensor probe with a brass brush. If that doesn't work you'll have to replace it or checkout the wiring. This is a latching signal so once the light comes on it stays on until the key is cycled.

Good Luck, Don

Thanks for all the replies. I checked the resivor and it is hooked up properly. So where is the sensor I need to check and brush or replace?
The low coolant light actually went off by itself, so I don't know what is going on. I think I have a bad sensor. Now just need to find out where the sensor is and clean/replace!
Thanks.

On my 1990 GT the cap for the overflow bottle contains the sensor. Remove the cap and the terminals on the bottom of the long tube that goes into the tank is what you need to clean.
