My mod motor turbo build

That looks good Jeff! I look forward to seeing it in person next week.
You (or any others looking for hi temp coating can check out this:

"Apply Design Engineering's silicone coating directly to exhaust manifold, pipe, and muffler surfaces to protect them against acid rain, snow, salt, solvents, and weather extremes. It withstands temperatures of up to 1,500 degrees F, and even helps prevent pipe wrap from deteriorating."

I used it on my exhaust housing and it holds up very good compared to anything else I've used. They recommend baking it on so I just ran my car for a few minutes at first to get it hot then let it sit. I did that a couple times and it was good. It won't last forever, but so far I've got no rust.

Looks really good!!! Did you just paint the hot side? I'm looking to find a good coating place. :nice: :nice:
I've seen 2.5 lbs on mine, and I don't even have wheels on it!!:-)

Ive used russ meaks / meeks down on hwy99 in P-town. (not far from "the bomber") It was like 250 for a set of headers inside/out, came out real nice. He does silver or black, the black has a higher max temp.

After a carpenters square and tape measure alignment I finally got to drive the car yesterday. The snow and Ice cleared up enough to go for a few mile drive. It's kinda loud with just the down pipe but I can live with it untill I can get it up on a lift to finish the exhaust. I don't have a boost gauge or wide band hooked up yet so I took it easy but for a larger turbo it comes into boost sooner than I thougt. Feels like it will be quite the punisher. I may leave the stick untill race season starts. It's fun to drive with the stick.

Congrats again man. That setup looks great. I'll try to take it easy on ya in spring though.:D I'm heading out to New York on friday for the holidays, but when I get back I'll be driving mine around.:SNSign:

Oh for what it's worth... his wife kinda runs the "front office" (if you can call it that) anyhow I think she quoted me like 350 to start, but I stood and BS'd with her for awhile when I dropped them off, and then stood and talked with her again when I came back to pick them up (asked about all the pics on the walls, kept saying what nice work they do, etc...), and then when she rang it up, it was alott less than quoted. :nice: Just fyi....
