It is a very nice Stang, I just hate it when body kits get put on Cobras, but thats just me. I like the car, little rich for my blood.

thanks

its a bit pricey, but i figured it like this...some lower mileage cars are going for about 30k, some even higher, and a dealer here is trying 35k for a zince 04 vert... , and any one i bought was going to get all the mods done anyway, and possibly the saleenization(just me, but i love the look), so for the price, i felt it was more than fair, cheap even considering how much all that extra stuff would end up costing me anyway, not to mention the time as well...

As long as you are happy with it that's all that really matters, right?

I love the Saleens, always wanted one. I have never seen one of the kits on a Cobra before so it is nice having something different. If you run it show some numbers, I am interested in how well something that powerful does.

Uncle Meat, looked at your garage and saw the vids of your Cobra. Only thing I can say is

Even a stock one would not have been worth that much...

thanks

i know the market numbers are all over the place.. i almost bought an 03 with 2400 miles on it for 33k,, then this jumped in my way, the guy ended up getting 32,5 anyway, so that tells me this one wasnt too terribly far off. even with the extra miles, plus the dealer up here sold a zinc 04 vert recently, and was asking 35k for it...then again i figured about all the add ons and hi perf mods, plus cost to pay someone for the cams and head work, who knows,, i know it would have cost me a whole lot more to start with a low mile stocker and get it to the point this car is at now, along with a ton of time i really dont have... oh well..maybe someday if i got the nerve to run it ill definately post... i saw another cobra with slicks and pretty much same power numbers claim a 10.62 or something like that, but whatever, i am not a drag racer, so it aint the end of the world whatever the numbers are, im pretty sure its the fastest damn thing ill ever drive:SNSign:

i dunno. if you were to buy it for 25K from a private seller and do all the mods, then 33k is a pretty good deal, and its all done for you already. here in cali, 25k is standard private sale, 30k is usually dealership prices, and thats for stock cobras with moderate miles (under 50k). honestly if you had planned to do each and every one of these mods, and were going to not do it yourself (IE a shop do installs), you made one hell of a deal. sounds like you dont have the time to do such extensive mods so yeah, you made out great. your monthly payment will be a little higher (whats it, like 600-650$?), but you really dont have to mod anything, evar!

however, as with buying anything previously modded, i hope the mods were done to the fullest extent of quality and workmanship. IMO take it to a dyno first thing and make sure the tune is spot on, if not, retune to be safe. id like to know more about "fuel system upgrade" because that can mean alot of things, however likely its a BAP. Solid Rear, eh, great if you only want to go fast in a straight line.

sure

i will plan on a dyno run at some time to do exactly that, make sure its all good.. i could have done a few mods myself, but never the cams and obviously the ported headwork. from what i can tell about the car and the way it was detailed and everything is basically perfect, i don't believe shortcuts were taken. i will keep up with this as i learn more about the car and pass it on... the stright axle thing... yeah, i know probably wont handle as good, i dont know, never drove a irs cobra, so maybe its best i wont know the difference, and just get used to this one the way it is...most of the time it will just be cruised anyway, so for minimal autocross and even less road course, who cares!!!!

Looks nice. The Saleen Cobra's were never my cup of tea (always thought SVT's version of the '03-'04 Cobra was the best looking Mustang ever made) but to each their own. Either way, I'm sure it will bring a smile to your face everytime you turn the key.

im smiling already and i havent ever turned the key. cant wait for that day to come, sometime in the next several weeks once i figure out who is going to take the saleen off my hands. if not things are going to be really crowded around here....i got faith though, the saleen is too damn nice for someone to resist for very long....

Than it was well worth it IMO. In January I sold my 03 Annv Cobra Ragtop for $27K and it had 24,500 miles with a Predator, long tubes, O/R Bassani X-pipe and no Muffler, blower pully and carbon fibre intake. It was putting down 494 rwhp. So with the extra mods and power you have it sounds like you got a sweet deal

I wish I owned it. It's a beautiful car. I'd probably remove the KB and maybe the Saleen stickers though.

I just re-read the ad. Man, does this guy need grammar lessons! You'd think with that kind of money on the line, he would have used some sort of spell checking program to clean up his sentence structure? When ever I see grammar and spelling errors like that, I automatically assume it’s either a scam, or the seller is a complete moron and skip right on by.

I dunno man, that has a LOT of modifications to it, and it looks like its really in mint condition. I mean price for a termi is high in general, but you do have to take into account other factors. I think the price isn't too high for that car considering
