i did my cobra R replicas. First i did them white (paint) and i put them on n it didnt really go w/ my car, they had some bubbling on the original paint cuz theyre cheap replicas, so i fixed that primed it up sanded it, and because i paint everything that i can, i decided to paint them the color of the bottom of my car which is two tone, and the bottom is champaigne or light beige. I did the lip of the rim silver, and the inside beige, and you can barely tell but its such detail thats awesome. No need to powdercoat. Just have them painted. Id do it for you but you prob live way to far away. I live a block away from southwest philly - in Ridley area. I'd have the chips taken out, have the wheels fully primed, fully wet sanded, than shot with car paint and car clear. Thats what i did and it holds up great. I used expensive Sherwin Williams clear though, and it dries in like 2 hours, enough to put them on and drive. Good Luck
