Ok so it's not all that quick, and it wasn't a honda you were thinking of, but I picked this up a little while back with a lot of my h/c money. I still have the heads, just need the valvetrain to come in, maf, and injectors.

It rolls alright for being stock, but got killed by a raptor. Was wondering if anyone else rode much.

Back when I was a teenager me, my dad, and my two uncles used to ride flat-track and TT races. We rode modified Honda TRX250R's....baddest bike ever made IMO. Those 400ex are very nice bikes, as far as riding them they feel a lot like a 250R only more bottom end torque. Stock for stock I think the 400ex would be on the heels of the 250R.

It's a fairly quick bike, but nothing special. Like to raise her front end a lot tho, but nothing near out of control. The 250r is a real nice bike too, wouldn't mind having one of those. The only bike I can think of that would be badder would be the 500cc two stroke suzuki quadzilla. Them things probably still are the fastest produced. Doubt it handled like a 250r though.

Not even close, very clumsy bike, never lost to one and they weren't as impressive as you would think. And don't even get me started on the banshee's....there was a reason the 250r's went defunct and the banshees didn't....and it wasn't sales you can believe that. I'm very surprised insurance companies haven't cracked down on these bikes like they did 15 years ago. A lot of these new bikes are mean machines.

I figured they were fairly clumsy. I just got into riding quads not long ago when my dad bought one so I'm still sorta learning. Kinda like learning waht car can do what.

I picked up an '04 Z400 a year ago. I rode it for about 6 months or so, and it's been sitting since. It's a fun quad, but pretty slow imo. With just a Yoshimura pipe I've whooped a big bore (440) 400ex, 2 stock 400ex's, and a Raptor, but it's just not enough. I haven't gotten to ride with many other sport quads because a lot of my friends have utilitys. I guess it goes alright for a quad, but I like to ride something that I'm scared of. I'm gonna look for a cr500 after I sell my quad.

Like mentioned above, the quadzilla is nothing to write home about. They were actually quite slow. My family did sand drags in the early 90s when I was just a little tyke racing my suzuki 50. My brother had a mildly built Suzuki Quadracer 250 that embarassed countless quadzillas and banshees.

Here's a pic of my quad
