Decided to get more serious on the drag racing aspect of owning this Mustang. So before I decided to do anything as far as boost or more power I figured Id upgrade the rear end so I don't have to worry about breaking anything down at the track. I'm mostly doing this for the reason for wanting to run Micky Thompson ET Street's VS the Nittos I have now. Well as anything to do with modding a stang one part requires more additional parts. I didnt think it was to safe to run ET Streets on 28 splines so here's my rear end project upgrade.

FMS 3.73 Gears.

Micky Thompson ET Streets 275/60/15

Weld Pro-stars 15X8

Moser 31 Spline axle's

And the last thing I have to buy is an Auburn Pro 31 spline differential. All the rest of the parts are on their way or already here. Cant wait to get all of this in and do some late season track runs and bust into the 12's. I'm so close now at 13.2

Cool.

I dont really like the auburn stuff...not rebuildable for the price you pay.

Then again I like the idea of a rebuild F150 tloc with extra clutches...

should put up with a bit of abuse either way...congrats

Thanks, after some further thinking and research I think Im just going to go with a Ford 31 spline limited slip. They are about $300 VS $400 + for the auburn and Eaton Pro's
