My Stang rides again... kind of... HELP!!

HELP!! PLEASE!! Popping bad!

My 91 was Stolen and recovered last year before October. When they found her, the car was wrecked and totalled. I bought her back and transplanted the engine into my '67 Bronco - EFI and all.

The problem. She has ran fine for the last 6 months, but has now developed a popping-backfiring-misfiring phenomena when I accelerate hard. This is intermittant.

Example: Fire it up and accelerate (5 speed tranny), I know when it is going to do it, because it feels like it has less power like the advance is not working. I lay down the gas and she slowly revs up and then starts "blah blah blah blowing" around 3-4 grand.

I get code 11 (system ok) when I run the codes. This is an intermittant thing. Sound familiar to anyone???

what kind of damage to the enigine when the car was wrecked?

Did you fix the problem? My 90 hatch does the exact same thing, even worse when it is cold out. I have no idea either....if you fixed it, please let me know what you did!

Sounds like a possible PIP. This is a magnetic pickup in the distributer. If you have a spare dist., or a buddy who will let you swap one in to test, that would be very helpful. TPS would be something to check out too.
