It's been about 3 days since I got these installed.
When I started by black baby up she sounded GREAT!
Deep, mean, and not abnoxiously loud.

Now they don't seem as loud or agressive.
Seems more like stock was.
Am I just used to them already? Am I nuts?

Some have talked about Flows having a break-in period.
Is this true?

Maybe I'll be getting my Dr. Gas sooner than I thought.

You too!!! I got 40's Original welded in like a week or two ago. Sometimes it's loud and sometimes it's not. Don't understand it either. They say that the 40's Original is nice & loud. That's bull $hit. I think it's barely louder than stock. I am going to get an H-pipe, possibly with cats because of emissions. I would like to get the Mac Prochamber because I heard that it is the best combination with chambered mufflers. Unfortunately I cannot because they only come in an offroad version.

Flowmasters don't typically have any "break-in" like other mufflers because there is no packing in them. Sometimes the mellow out a little because of the buildup of soot (sp?) from the exhaust inside the mufflers.

As far as them not being loud enough, there aren't too many mufflers that are going to be very loud when you have 4 cats (or 6 for some) clogging things up. If you've ever heard a GT with straight pipes with the stock H-pipe, they aren't very loud because the cats do a commendable job of quieting things down on their own. I have a Magnaflow catback which is known for being fairly mild and with the stock H it was not much louder than stock. With my o/r X, it screams at WOT.

What kinda crack are you on? I had an o/r H pipe with the factory mufflers and then got 40's put on and it was like twice as loud. The stock mufflers sound like crappy magnaflows.

You guys are gonna kill me cause...
Now I think these fockers are pretty good!
With the windows up you can't here too much.
But...
When I roll my windows down they sound pretty damn mean!
Flowmaster definatly lived up to their promise on these!
Less interior drone! & Better flow!

When I throw on my O/R Dr. Gas they should be really sweet!
