so as some of you remember i have been at radford university for the past 3, 4 weeks or something, and last weekend i got to go home for the weekend. my roomat e was leaving, so i just hitched a ride with him and came back with one of my friends (94gtho)'s girlfriend in her car. i got back, talked with my parents, and then pulled the cover off my baby. she fired right up, and told me low coolant. it had been doing that sometimes before i put it up. so i drove it a while, and added about a bottle of water to it, and now its fine. my birthday is oct. 16, and my parents got me a new laptop for my birthday. they told me i could take it back to school with me becasue i could use it, as long as i understood that that was all i was getting for my b-day, and my sister got my old laptop. it was on sale at a best buy for only like 450 dollars. its pretty nice, 1.73 ghz dual core intel, 1 gb of ram, and about 80 gigs off hdd i believe. oh and vista. anyways i drove my car all weekend, got to see my family, sleep in my own bed (>= to 11 hours ) and got a few good showers. (showers here change temp). so the fox is doing good and i just wanted to check in, and i love my new laptop. now i have 2 awesome computers. the plans are as follows, thanksgiving break, change oil, check coolant, good detailing, wax and wash. then when im out for summer, i should have my grand cherokee, so then i should be doing balljoints and maybe upper control arms, and b-springs/new poly isolators. enough rambling heres how she's doin:

and my notebook:

same thing

I live in richmond also, I had the same problem with low coolant, but I did find my problem it was the hose behind intake (heater core hose) it only leaked when I got on it it was a tiny pin hole. btw car looks good.

Wow, check this out. I left for college at FSU at the beginning of summer, I left my 89 Gt under a cover and took my 99 dakota to school, and when I left I bought the same exact laptop. WTF. copy cat. Its funny how the world turns.
But the first time I went home I fired it up, drove it around, changed the oil, washed and detailed it, slept in my own bed and got to take a shower at home. It is amazing what we take for granted, isn't it?

my dad kept bugging me about my more than 17 year old water hoses under the hood, but i told him they were fine. this is the first time ive had to add coolant to it. but i guess next time im with it ill start looking at all the hoses, looking for a hole. i appreciate the advice.

My low coolant light comes in once every 2 weeks in the 90..Last time I checked it was just a little below the full mark on the tank. What could be causing this?

It could be the two heater hoses behind your intake( heater hoses) or your sensor on your radiator cap could be going bad
