Title spills the beans This is my OFFICIAL BEFORE dyno. I will be doing an after run soon to compare VT STG 1 cams to custom turbo cams. Made 3 different boost passes. 7.5PSI, 9.2PSI, and 11.4PSI. Timing varies with VE, so it was ranging from 15-16*s or so.

7.5PSI

spiked to 9.6PSI...thats what made peak #s 477.

And this one was @ 11.9PSI...last 2 frames showed 11.9 so...

It was only gaining 18HP per # of boost from 7.5PSI-9.6PSI. But gaing 31RWHP per # of boost from 9.6PSI to 11.9PSI. These turbos LOVE more boost....they are just getting started @ 12PSI . Just think, another # would put me to over well over 580 . Dyno A/F is 1 point leaner than my wideband shows....and that was confirmed by the workers whos widebands differed .5-1 point from the dynos tail sniffer.

And here is the video. Youtube is having maintenance, but hopefully it will work in a bit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rexe237Ti7Q

Let me know what you all think

I love what you are doing here! You are very knowledgeable about tuning... and you have made sure there is no detonation or going lean. You are testing the real limits of the stock block. (And rods I would think!!)

You need to get 10's on the stock block and 600 HP... that will show the nay sayers what turbo power can do.

Good luck and well done,

Matt

Very nice! Your car is THE CAR I like to keep track of on here.

If you ever decide to get a built shortblock for it, see how long the stock one will last around 600 rwhp for the fun of it.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks everyone! And nope, im no god LOL...just someone who doesnt belive in the "420RWHP limit" . I have my own theory about what these motors will take and why some let go at lower power lvs....this is my way of proving it

As far as track times go...you probably wont see any decent ET OR trapps until next year @ FFW....where I can actually hook. Last time out (100% street trim) @ around 11PSI I think, I managed a 12.2 @ 124 with a 2.1 60 and spinning all the way through 2nd ....ZERO track prep though. For scale I went 12.6 @ 117.9 with just 7.5PSI...VERY first pass. If she doesnt hook, or I have to come out easy....the car just doesnt like it. its ALWAYS been that way
Eventhough my car isnt setup for the track at all...im going again this next WED with some friends that invited me out. ill throw on my 15s and hope for cool weather. The car runs SOO SOO much better in 55 and below weather...its like a switch if flipped under 55*s...crazy. So I hope its that cool or below.

Its crossed my mind

Hmm, im not too far off from your pump gas #s though...just another 58HP left to go I think.

Dont worry, unless I find a way to get more boost...your safe.

11.9PSI was all she would get on the dyno

Wastegate blockoff plates

AWESOME numbers dude! Really makes me wonder what my car is gonna put down with similar boost (in other words 2-3psi more actually LOL) and stock block (I'm going for broke on the stock bottom end I think, it would be fun to save I've popped a motor ).

Im very anxious to see what the custom cams do in place of the VTs.

This has got to be some kind of record for the most HP on a stock block... DAMN!

Awesome man, great work!
