my turn for the cracked intake front coolant runner

[68 & 00 GT]

Yeah this could have gone really bad for me. Yesterday I was getting on my car in second gear and the intake cracked, blew antifreeze out, and made my @$$ end slide all over the road from the coolant either getting on my back, tires and /or on the pavement. Anyway I pulled my intake off in about an hour and 45min. And yep it's cracked just behind the alternator. Why did Ford only recall this exact same issue in the 97's. WTF?

Where can I get a cheap one w/ the updated aluminum coolant runner ?
How much are these new ?

I thought all of the 99+'s had aluminum crossovers.

Ford was pretty ****ing stupid for making that thing out of plastic.

Sorry to hear about another one biting the dust, but this one is a 2k version huh?. Ford just doesn't get it when it comes to admitting to a problem and backing their products up. Gefracing sells the aluminum crossover version.
