Ever read one of these and say "I would never do that"?... never say never. Long story short, just driving too much, tired of putting all the $ into it just to run, not even modding it.

Getting a Scion Xb, good on gas, cheap insurance, good for the next few years for college. Stang will be SO missed, but it is the "mature" thing to do, which kills me.

I actually contemplated selling my car the past few days.. I've been thinking long and hard about it.

It takes away from my studying time, because all I want to do is think about my car and look at car parts or surf on SN.. All I want to spend my money on is car parts, instead of other things I could really use.

I might end up doing it for school..

You cant be serious...Just buy another car thats good on gas and has cheap insurance and drive the mustang on the weekends. I do that and now that college is done for the summer I drive my mustang everyday. I am consistantly over a 3.5 and the mustang does not make me do bad in school

The tc is the best looking scion anyway if you were to get one its like driving in a shoe box (xb)

I have a saturn that gets 35mpg and only pay 1200 a year for full coverage on my stang and basic on the saturn. I only work like 25-30 hrs a week and just bought a s/c for the stang its not that hard.

I am in a similiar situation. I am currently going to a private engineering school that costs an A** LOAD of money! I find myself spending alot of time on the net looking for parts which I don't exactly have the money for or cruising around on StangNet. I thought hard about selling the Stang last year, but decided to hang on to it. At this point, it's the only thing that helps me keep my sanity. I feel your pain man...

The one thing you can look forward to once you turn 40... you can buy another car without selling the stang. It's one of the few things I'm happy about.

why a XB... that thing makes the pontiac aztec look awsome. Good luck to you man but WOW how does the same person who bought a mustang then go look at a scion XB and go.. " yep thats the car I want"

Funny how some other peopel find these cars expensive to keep in good repair.. Mine never breaks and I pound the crap out of it.. in fact just about any ford service tech will tell you that the mustang and crown vic/ grand m's are very relaible.

WTF your getting rid of a mustang for a scion XB? That is like the ugliest vehicle thats out right now. Talk about downgrading, I woundl't be able to sleep at night knowing that I had to drive that POS shoebox on wheels!

Do what you have to do but, hey it's not like you can't get a mustang
some time in the future after your done with school. Honestly driving
and putting mods on my mustang is the only thing that keeps me happy
and sane.I don't know what I would be if I sold my car? I really enjoy the
mustang community and I don't see myself leaving it either!
If you are getting a Toyota Scion get the TC because their is alot of
aftermarket bolton's for it and you can even supercharger it also.

Hmm I guess Im lucky, I can control my urge to do car stuff, and still knock down deans list, lol.

If its what you have to do, then I guess its the right thing to do. You can always get another one when your out of school!

Sometimes doing the 'mature' thing is easier said than done. I've been fortunate enough to have to two cars since i was 17 (granted neither was worth more than 4k until the 99 i just bought) so ive always had a DD and a stang. However, i know if push came to shove, the mustang would go before the nissan. Good luck with your choice!

PS-why would you buy a box on wheels
