my v6 got a big brother....

yup, i bought my 04 mach 1....they had to get it from a dealership 2 states away, b/c the selection is getting really low (the color is oxford white....even though my first choices were dark shadow gray or competition orange....but i had to take what i could get). but now that i have it, i really like it and it looks really good. the bad thing is that it has been raining for the past 2 days and is supposed to keep raining for 2 or 3 more. but maybe i can get a couple of pics posted....even though they will be rainy pics. i'm just really excited about it!! had to share!

thanks guys! i love the mach....it's really nice. i already got pulled over for "no tags" ....haha...but i've been lucky about speeding tickets. i pulled up beside a truck at a light...it was 2 guys who kept looking at me- they revved, so i let them think they had it, then i romped it. it's such a great feeling to pull up beside guys who don't realize they're about to be whipped by a girl.... especially pulling up beside guys in gt's....that's good stuff too....

5spd: i'm ready to race when u r!! u still going to the track the 30th?? if u r, then i'll see ya there....

i've gotta slap some 10% tint on those windows though....that dark tint will really set off all the black accents! then i gotta get some louder exhaust and black bumper inserts....then i'll be ok....till the modding bug hits again, but i will probably try to keep it as original as possible.

I've never been beat by a girl (the sad thing is...it might happen cough cough Mach 1 cough cough)...

nah....i know my boundaries....and your excellent driving skills....haha...
u r still having transmission problems? no prob....i might give u a ride anyways....or u can drive if you're lucky

i don't think i will run it just yet. i'm still getting used to the clutch....it's so much of a difference from the v6, it's crazy.

No I got my clutch and all fixed in and it is practically broken in now...it is just when you upgrade to more power the transmission can only take so much of it...the chance of it actually messing up is slim...I was just saying

So how does that clutch act compared to the v6? As you have already mentioned it is harder...?

What is the redline on that Mach 1...?

Yeah I wouldn't run it yet either...well actually I might if it was mine...it is always good to be careful though

ha....i have already put almost 1000 miles on it...(i had no choice but to drive it everyday since my car needed to be realigned) plus it had about 700 miles when i got it (mostly from the drive from alabama) so it's already broken in... so i could run it if i WANTED to..... but yeah, the clutch catches at a shorter distance and it is a lot stiffer than the v6 (put it like this: after driving the mach for about a straight 2 weeks and not driving the v6 at all during this time, i moved the v6 for those pics, and i almost (but DIDNT )stalled....cuz it's so different....) crazy.

I think that would be awesome if "we" all ran that night...it would be a new thing for both of us (me - new combo...you - new car)...

I just hope it runs good as I know it can...I don't know how bad my "tune" is...even though it drives fine... I know it is quicker but don't know how much quicker...I ran 89mph (this is a 1000' ft. track to all who don't know)...so I'm hoping I'll run 95mph or faster...time will tell (or atleast the 30th will tell)...

I love the "retro" guages

Hey, thats a real nice Mach 1. Just wondering, how come u didn't get the 04 SVT Cobra? That would have been my choice. O well, Mach 1's are more of a collector car and more rare.

thanks! i was actually going to get the 04 cobra, but we have only 1 svt dealer in the state (that i know of) and they didn't have any coupes left (i don't want a vert). plus, the dealership i went through is one that my family has dealt with for many years, and i knew they would get me a good deal with no deception. the svt dealership we talked to told us one thing about a used mach that they had and only a few minutes later changed their story. so i didn't really trust them....so the mach would have to work. and i'm very happy with it.

Was it cough North Point cough? (the SVT dealership)

I took a guy out for a ride the other day...and it spun all in 1st and all in second ...no traction isn't fun after a while ...I'm guessing it left marks (I haven't checked yet) but it is down Poe Farm Road

yup- it was north point...haha.

wow...if your car is running like that, then i'm sure to win!! haha. i took some people for a ride tonight in my new one, and they told me that i should be a nascar driver. needless to say, they were impressed.
