yeppp mine are 8000 now.. lose light or not, these 8000's are MUCH brighter then them hiperwhite xenon bulbs... my brother has them 12000 purple ones in his yukon.. looks real sharp and visability is awesome!

The blue leads to eye fatigue after driving for long periods. I want pure daylight. I've been looking into this and might dive in with a little cusomization......I want 4100k
K has nothing to do with brightness of the lights. It's just the color of the light. 18000K is just as bright as 5000K.
I want white light, no color at all. WHite = clean and pure and that's the look i want for my GT. Blue or purple lights don't really look good to me.
I kinda like Meccatune's HID's so i might go with their 6500K kit.

I read that Philips is the best. If you plan to youse your stock headlamps, which just a HID bulb, you'll need to make some kind of shield to prevent glare, which is dangerous to other motorists.

Yup, HID bulbs are totally different. And Xenon is a brand, not a type of light...just like the whole NOS/nitrous thing.
You'd be surprised how many people think a true HID conversion just needs bulbs. I tell friends the price and someone always chimes in "It's not $400, i paid $29.99 for my bulbs"

I saw jamie's car in person last night, and damn, the HID's look amazing. That car has come so far in the past few months. From a black 4-lug car, to a red 5-lug with HID's and AFR's and too much...i guess jealousy just pushes you to do more!

Im gonna miss itIf you do the 4100K conversion to a set of Ultra Clear OEM headlamps will you still get the razor sharp cut off line, or should you convert to a projector kit from 50resto?
Jamie - can you post up a picture of your lights projected on a wall and the street in front of you. I just want to see how your line matches up with those lamps. Thanks!
STANG5T5----fyi a 9004 and a 9007 bulb are the same thing turned 90 degrees... so if you swao bulbs you will project to the left and right your brights will be even wider so unless the kit turned how the bulb is oriented then it wont work a 9004 and a 9007 are not interchangable

DO NOT PUT HIDs IN A STOCK HALOGEN REFLECTOR HOUSING! The light outputted from an HID bulb does not scatter properly when installed in a halogen reflector housing. It causes a lot of unwanted glare to oncoming drivers.
