my yearly pre MW troubles

it seems to happen every year just before mustang week. my car goes crazy and decides to break random parts for no reason. this year is no different.

first i ripped the bushings out of my UPR LCA's, no biggie, they sent me new ones for free but i went with MM XD LCA's instead

after the new LCA's went on i start getting a TERRIBLE noise in the car. it turns out the bearing in my c clip eliminator has gone out and the new MM LCA's having no bushings finally alerted me to the problem. there goes another $75 for bearings and then whatever the install is (the axles were pulled tonight)

now that i gotta go into the axle i have to get a Fore diff cover

i have to get my x pipe welded up for exhaust leaks this saturday

the bumpers still need to be wet sanded and buffed

i have to use the starter switch in the clutch for my 2 step/WOT box b/c i seem to rest my foot on the clutch causing false triggers.


DAMN, i'm gonna be busy!!! 3 weeks from today i'll be at myrtle beach!! theres never enough time

this doesnt even include what i need to do to the bike to get it ready to take down!

i was sitting at a car show today with my car and i made a stunning realization....i walk around and i look at other peoples cars and just wish mine could be done. all the cars there look great and all set, but i still have x,y, and z things i need to get done on it to get it to where i want it to be. where am i going to get the money and time to do it in? BUT when i was sitting and just chillin by my car, people were walking by mine, looking and wishing their car was done too....in the same place i was. all of them except the ones who have those huge plaques with the car mods and all that have something that needs to be fixed or done.

i'll be in the Cary area on saturday. the car should be getting buffed after the c clip bearings are done friday so i'll most likely be on the bike all weekend.

there is a BIG car show at the fair grounds i think on saturday and sunday. i'm gonna try to make it up there!!

this is what i am talking about. it goes on from the 3rd to the 5th. Starts at 8am on friday. Since i am unemployed i might travel there on friday being that i have nothing better to do haha

The problem though is that IDK where the hell they expect non-show cars to park?

Early May. I am only down here for the summer. I have to go back to Utica for grad school in the fall

After I get my Master's I might permanently move down here (Fiancee has a job with IBM) or wherever IBM assigns her next which could even be out of the US

got the car back on the road today!!

it was nice to drive it for more than 1-2 miles. i havent driven it more than that since dec!
i took it up to raleigh and had some fun with it today. i had 2 people stop in traffic to compliment the car i also forgot how much it likes gas! i burned a half tank in 60 miles

it's just about ready for mustang week. just a little more cleaning and then we'll hit the road!!!

I can smell the race fuel and hear the Eaton's howling already.

I gots some new headlights today, so I am pretty much done appearance wise, unless I pony (see what I did there?) up the cash for blackout vinyl in the rear.

Now I just got to hope the tired 4.6 doesn't chuck a rod if I punish the bitch on race tracks, lol.
