mystic cobra vin

im going to check out a mystic cobra tomorow and i need to know what letter where in the vin code says that its a real mystic. i found online that people are saying its an LF designation. but when i look at actual vins of mystic cobras listed online, i dont see an LF anywhere. so are they fakes, or is my info wrong? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

why dont you look for the exterior paint code.... the label in the drivers side door jamb from the factory will list a two letter paint code designation... better luck doing it that way...

Vin doesn't tell you paint codes

Check the door jamb sticker. The code should be LF on the sticker. Then check to se the VIN on the sticker matched the VIN of the car.

Plus it's an expensive paint to buy, the door jambs, engine bay and under the trunk will be painted that color too. A lot of people going through the trouble would rarely never do the parts you don't see.

:Word:....that would be an awful lot of trouble for someone to go through just to fake an old Cobra.
