Hello all, I need some help deciding to stay N/A or go N20. My car goes 13.2-3 pretty consistantly. With the current setup. If I were to stay N/A my goal would be to run mid 12's on the stock shortblock.

Some of what I have done:

Edelbrock performer heads
Edelbrock performer intake Mani
Crane 1.7 RR's
70mm TB
80mm PMAS
24# inj
4.10 gears
15x8 prostars in the back 15x4's up front
275/60/15 Mt's
FRPP Short headers
Magnaflow exhaust no/cats
WC t-5
King Cobra Clutch
Strange 10 ways
U/L Boxed Control arms

With thse parts can I break 12's on motor?

BBK Longtube headers
Full length subframes
Custom grind FTI camshaft
Dyno Time

Or should I just keep my current setup as is and put a 125 shot on it and tune it? Thanks all.

With those times, I'd definitely think you'd see a 12 second pass as it sits. Prossibly the only thing I could see hurting your chances now if you couldn't rip off a high 12 would be the stock cam. Do you have one of your old timeslips you could post up by chance? I'm curious how your times looked.

If you want to use strip results to judge your combo's success ...

IMHO ... It is imperative you tell us about the following

Sixty foot times and mph obtained

You can add all power in the world to a car
but
If it won't launch very effectively ... Well ... You just piss away et

Also is this a heavy Vert

Honestly you can hit 12s now on motor.

1 - Degree your stock cam four degrees retarded.

2 - Get a tune for your car.

3 - More seat time.

You'll get there!

You should be able to there with those additional mods, but I'd add the shot and a good tune too.

I bet the dyno/tune would get you there.

Like Grady said, what's the MPH and 60ft and weather conditions? N/A I would gain or lose about 2/10ths just on how hot or cold it happened to be.

Thanks guys the timeslip.

R/T .252
60' 1.821
330 5.485
1/8 8.495
MPH 82.84
1000 11.083
1/4 13.270
MPH 103.53

So with a tune and some more seat time I should be able to click off a 12? It had to be 85 degrees in sunny florida.

I would go with a bigger cam anyways. I believe edelbrock sells a e303 spec cam with the performer heads/intake combo. You should be able to find one for pretty cheap. But yes custom grind is best. Also I bet you could run 12's as it. But yea if your gonna go in as far as redegreeing the cam might as well change it while your that far.

Have you tried the simple stuff such as

Short belt
Different tire pressures
Different rpm shift points
Cool down between passes
etc

What is short belt? As far as shift point 5800 seems to be the sweet spot.

Its a strip only option that will allow you to bypass as many accessories
as possible and will free up some hp.
