Well makes for the second set of brand new tires that Ive gotten a nail in :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: . I just cant win. Looks like a good size one so how fixable is this, can it done pretty easy w/ a plug if I take it some where? I dont have much of an Idea b/c Im no tire fixing expert. Its in the front pass side, at least it was not in one of the Nitto's

PS: It leaks like a sive you can hear the air rushing out of it.

As long as it is not in the sidewall you are good to go. I would have them patch it from the inside though so it is less likely to be lost.

Yeah that is safer but then they would have to take the rim off the tire and I dont trust this place to put my Chrome Steeda Ultra lite II back on w/ out F'ing it up. Its not the same place Im going to that mounted the tires on the rims b/c that place is a good 20 miles away and I dont want to drive on it much with the way that it is but its hard telling how far I had driven like that when it did happend. Must have happend last friday b/c it was the last time I drove it.

If I was to patch/plug a tire I would not settle for any thing but this style patch.

If you want to fix it I would do what it took to get the wheel and tire to your guy you trust doing it and get one of those put in.

whats required to put one of those in?

My last set of tires got a nail in them ( on the rear) and I ran a plug in that for a few yrs and it was fine.

These do install from the inside of the tire so it does require to remove it from the rim. The glory of this is that it is a patch with the plug molded to it so the plug can not be pulled out. I have seen guys use these on cars they Auto Cross with and even on the rears of Drag Racers without them ever pulling out.
