Need A Clutch

I pulled my dual friction centerforce after setting in the garage out of the car for a few years and need a new clutch. Car still has the stock T5 and the following mods b303, windsor jr. heads, 24# injectors, gt40 intake, long tubes and 3.73s and of course all of the other pullies ect. It is a 92 GT I think i am in the 300 horsepower range maybe a little higher. But I need some recommendations on a clutch ther dual friction not in my budget at this time. Thanks In Advance!! I don't think you're in the 300 HP range. You might want to look into a Centerforce Gold, FMS, or Spec Stage 1. They're considerably cheaper and should provide you more than enough holding power.

my FMS King Cobra exploded after 400 miles---so that wouldn't be my first choice. I agree-spec stage 1 or centerforce gold

I would use a spec stage 1 clutch for your setup..

I had a FRPP King Cobra installed 6-10-2004. I have driven over 5400 miles with it installed. I have 8 1/4 mile passes on it, and it is still there.

I have had a stock clutch (Napa), Cobra clutch, King Cobra clutch, and Centerforce DF Stage II clutch (currently)...

I would take the King Cobra over the Spec Stage 1 anyday...

I would say King Cobra or Zoom ... if budget allows get a McLeod.

King Cobra is what i got and i haven't had any problems. The one that exploded has to be a defect

Get the King Cobra over the two...the King Cobra has a better pedal feel (not near as heavy)...and if you go to www.buyfordracing.com (I have bought from them) you can get it for $170 or $180 I believe...most places just have them labeled as a $20 difference...

Get the King Cobra between those two...It will fit your car - same spline and all...

You don't need the Spec Stage 2 (that will tear up your tranny much quicker and is not near as "slippable")...you don't have the power the Spec Stage 2 is engineered to hold...so don't worry about it...

spec STG.2 does not have a heavy pedal at all f*** the king cobra clutch

and it wont tear up your tranny maybe if it was a stg.3 then your tranny has some trouble

I've installed 2 King Cobras for myself (2 cars) and 2 for friends, never had a problem.

EDIT: Well... I take that back. My heavy vert made 293rwhp 327rwtq N/A, and the clutch couldn't hold the 150 shot. Held the 80 fine, though!
