I have a set of Flowmasters and a C&L CAI that I want to get installed and am looking for a good shop in the LA area.

I've heard I can do it myself, but I'm not much of a mechanic so I would feel more comfortable letting a professional do it.

Thanks for any help guys

this is meant only to help...

the two modifications you mentioned are among the easiest to do. The CAI is simply unplug and install. The mufflers are unbolt, bolt, align, and tighten...

Unless you have money to burn, I would recommend doing them yourself. You say you are not much of a mechanic--well, these projects are two great ones for you to start learning. Most/all of us started this way, and who knows--maybe you'll catch the DIY bug.

Axle-back you can do yourself on 05s for sure.

On previous stangs it was more difficult, you actually had to cut the pipes with a hack saw.

There are practical limits to DIY, however.

Do leave differentials and transmissions to the pros - you DO NOT want to do that yourself !!

It took me 3 hours to install SLP Loudmouths.

The hardest part I had was getting some of the bolts off - they were in really hard to reach places.

Yes, some of you are going to laugh and say you did it in 10 mins flat. Whatever - at least I did myself

The 4th time I swapped mufflers it still took an hour - but it's a simple bolt-on mod - four 13mm bolts and one 15mm nut per side.
