Okay, I can get a really clean 6cyl mustang local for $3,700... it's a 66. But I could also get a screaming deal on a 66 K-Code GT.
The problem is this... I don't want to have a stock car at all, I want to put a newer 5-speed in and newer suspension etc. I guess the new catch word for that is "restomod"
So, I don't want to butcher a K-Code, I am a classic mustang lover (even though I drive a supra
) and I don't want to screw up something like that.
I'd rather butcher the 6cly mustang. But is it worth it? I want to change the suspension, engine, tranny, radiator, differential... basically everything but the body and the interior... hell, maybe even the seats. Would I be better off getting a V-8 car? Could I also buy a early 90's 5.0 and pull out the motor/tranny/radiator/ecu? Any advice will be helpful. Thanks in advance.
